Words- Be Careful Before You Speak

Words are the most beautiful when spoken with love and the most hurtful out of anger.

Before you speak ask yourself a few questions.

  • Is it necessary?
  • Is it kind
  • Is it true?

As, I have matured I have realized the affect of words. For me words, are a form of protection, so I must admit I have used them maliciously without regards to someone else’s feelings to protect myself.  I have chosen to be more careful of what I say.

The six most important words: I admit I made a mistake.
The five most important words: You did a good job.
The four most important words: What is your opinion?
The three most important words: I love you.
The two most important words: Thank you.
The one most important word: Please.

I will continue to speak my truth, I said “MY” so someone may still find it offensive, as I have found out if you don’t agree with the majority, you’re the problem. However, I will always: Speak truth, Speak Light, Speak Love.

If I have ever said anything you may have thought was malicious, I am sorry and seek forgiveness. I have also forgiven you.

Its a new day Peace and Blessings

  1. Sometimes people don’t understand how their words can really hurt one’s feelings. I’m working on myself mind the way I speak when I’m angry. Thanks for sharing Shawn. Another beautiful write-up
