Promise Yourself- The Hidden Secret to Life

A promise is a declaration that you will do a something or a something will happen. It’s your word. And your word should always be your bond. Often, you make promises to people and people make promises to you.  One should never make a promise that they can’t keep. However, often people break promises that’s why it is always important to never break promises to yourself. Promises are very special to me, however sometimes I often hold others more accountable than myself. So, I promised myself after coming across the poem below I will walk in the light as written below.

The original poem was written by Christian D. Larson; however, I did some modifications which are in italics. I updated to my understanding. My highlights are in bold.

I hope you enjoy the poem. Promise yourself that everything will always work out.

And never make a promise that you can’t keep. It’s the Secret to Life.

This was an older post I wrote, about the secret to life, whenever I need to be inspired or encouraged as I do as of late, I watch the film. I highly recommend The Secret
