Happy New Month! Can you believe it’s October! Only 3 full months left in 2019. Hopefully, you have met all of those New Years resolutions. Because it’s time to reset them again. This month is very special to me, because as there are so many good things going on.
This month is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness month. Both causes are important to me but Domestic Violence in particular because I am a survivor myself. We will remember all victims during this month and focus on prevention.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MONTH
Domestic violence affects millions of people regardless of gender. It affects every race, culture, and doesn’t discriminate financial status. In America 3 out of 4 Americans personally know someone who has been a victim.
This month my blog is dedicated to all victims and survivors of domestic violence. If you know of anyone who would like to share their story of survival, please use the contact form. I believe testimony bring awareness.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
This month is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s important to schedule your appointment to get an annual mammogram. And take a friend with you. Getting your annual mammogram, can be a girls day out to encourage prevention. Breast Cancer affects 1 and 8 Americans, and affects more African American women. As of today there is no cure.
Early detection save lives.
I am also excited and pleased to present the roll out of my quarterly news letter The Scoop, you can only receive it if you are signed up for my email list. Please sign up via the pop up form. I am in the process of sending it out. The news letter is just an update of what’s to come on the blog and other surprises.
Finally, Vacation is here. Yay!!! I will be packing my bags and heading out of the country. So there will be no blog posts. But I will have one surprise that I can’t wait to share. And I will be thinking of lots of content.
Can anyone guess where I am going?
