It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.Asian Proverb
Seychelles should be the eighth wonder of the world. The country is composed of 115 islands located in the Indian Ocean, 932 miles from the mainland of east Africa. Seychelles is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Mahe is the largest island and most popular destination for tourist.
Praslin is another island and is considered the Garden of Eden because it’s no other place like it. La Digue is also great island. All of the islands in Seychelles offer rich history and culture. On the islands you can be a beach bum all day, watch the beautiful sunrise and set, go for hikes and enjoy a 200 pound tortoise. You can enjoy the great creole food while island hopping. Seychelles offers the best and most beautiful accommodations and beaches on the planet. It’s a great place for vacation, relaxation, and my bucket list item, I want to achieve in this new decade.
Giraffe Manor (Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪)
Animals lovers this is the ultimate place to add to your bucket list. Giraffe Manor is located in East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. Giraffe Manor is a beautiful boutique safari style hotel that brings giraffes to you anytime. The exclusive boutique hotel is situated on 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of forest just 30 minutes from the city of Nairobi.
This hotel is one of the most beautiful places in East Africa with beautiful gardens, oversized fireplaces, beautiful oil paintings, amazing views, and breakfast or dinner with giraffes. ( You can feed them anytime) the oversized windows of the hotel allow the giraffe to peak their head and visit you anytime. Due to the popularity of this hotel, it is always booked, so you would have to plan your ultimate1 experience 6 months to a year in advance. It’s well worth it!
Havana, Cuba 🇨🇺
I was fortunate to visit this forbidden country. It was a dream come true. The beauty and the love of the people make you truly appreciate life. As an American, there was nothing Americanized about this country, so it was amazing to see how a little country survives without US assistance.
Structurally, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, however, everything needs to be updated. It was the rich history and the love of the people I admired most, which makes you forget the architecture and structure. Hearing the stories makes you appreciate life. I would suggest visiting the Christ of Havana, it’s a beautiful statue that overlooks and protects the island.
If you visit Cuba, it would not be complete without a ride in the old American classic cars. They are the highlight of Cuba, as they are so bright and colorful.
Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬
Lagos, Nigeria is what New York City is to America. Both cities never sleep! Lagos is a megacity! The love and the hustle of the people is what makes you love the city. Maybe, I’m biased because this is my husband’s country, but Lagos is growing at an amazing pace.
According to the Nigerian government, the population is over 21 million and growing. While it may not be a tourist city, the love of the people makes you want to stay. There are so many things you can do such as visit the Lekki Conversation Center, the Nike Center, go to the beach, ride in a Keke or Okada (motorcycle taxi), and shop at the open markets. Lagos is a great place to visit. Your trip would not be complete without trying bitter leaf soup and eating fufu with your hands.
Las Vegas, Nevada 🇺🇸
“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas“ is a true statement. Vegas is one of the places everyone should visit once in life’s.
Vegas is one of my favorite places to visit and is always on my bucket list because Vegas is always changing and reinventing itself. All of the hotels are beautiful that’s what I love most. You can tour the entire world just by walking the Las Vegas Strip.
There are so many things to do. You can party all night and relax all day. You can gamble all day and drink for free. You can get married at the cute little wedding chapel. There are limitless food options at affordable prices and lots of shopping from high end to low end. You never know what celebrity you may bump into. However, when you are in Vegas you are a celebrity.
These are my top 5 to be added to your bucket place? What other places do you suggest to be added to anyone’s bucket list?
