In a world filled with hate and negativity. It can be hard to remain positive. But you must in order to live an unbothered life. People often ask me how I remain my composure. Just like everyone else I am tested everyday, however its simple “I FEEL NO WAYS!” As long as I am happy, at peace, and trusting the process of my life that’s all that matters.
You don’t have to feed into people’s hate, negativity, and ignorance because many people are unhappy. Don’t get me wrong, I have feelings and emotions. However, I just choose to be unbothered and I choose to be happy!
Being unbothered is a crucial part of self care and a choice.
Here are 10 ways to remain unbothered:
#1 WHO CARES WHAT OTHERS THINK!
It’s pointless to waste your time and energy on a situation you have no control over. You can’t control what someone think, say, or do. You are only in control of you and your actions. Don’t be responsible for anyone’s thoughts and opinion of who you are. People will always assume and that’s fine. It speaks more of them than it does of you.

#2 STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEF
Stand strong on what you believe. Don’t change to appease others. Just because everyone goes left doesn’t mean you cant go right. Always stand true to what you believe in, even if it’s not the popular opinion. To stand strong means you must stand up and stand for what you believe in.
#3 HAVE GREAT FRIENDS
What would life be without great friends. Friends are your chosen family. Friends are those people who you can confide in and can trust. Its important to have at least one friend, sometimes more if you are blessed to have them. Friends are those people you can expose how you feel without being vulnerable or judged. Having someone to listen, always brings things into perspective. Not only to listen but to understand your concern.
#4 BE OPTIMISTIC
We are in a world filled with pessimists. Pessimist will drain your energy and attempt to steal your joy. Don’t allow that to happen. Regardless of the situation, no matter how grim it looks. Always choose to be and think positive. Keep in mind energy is contagious. You always want to attract and receive positive energy. Remember positive thoughts only, as you are what you think.

#5 KEEP A JOURNAL
Don’t keep what’s bothering you to yourself. Always speak what’s on your mind to your confidant or if you don’t have anyone to confide in keep a journal. Journaling and writing are one of the most therapeutic ways to remain unbothered and in control with your emotions. It’s just you, your pen, and your thoughts.
#6 BE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND
Do you! Be You! Trust you! Learn to be your own best friend. Stand solid with who you are and don’t apologize for who you are. Allow your intuition to lead you in the right direction. Continue to trust who you are and where you are, so there is no room for doubt about who you are.
#7 TRUST GOD
Whether you are a religious person who goes to church every Sunday or spiritual person who pray and have a different relationship with God. If you believe in a higher power and know that you are not doing it alone, you will forever be unbothered. Don’t carry the burden of this life alone. To be truly unbothered you must pray, have a relationship with God and trust the process.
#8 SAY LESS
The less you say the more people, talk. Let them talk. That really shows you who people are. Sometimes you can’t win for losing. If you say something people voice their opinion. If you don’t say nothing people with still voice an unsolicited opinion. Just choose to say less and tell people what you want them to know. People often create their own version of you, and that’s not your problem.
#9 FALL BACK
When someone violate you fall back. You don’t have to do or say anything. Just fall back from your normal interaction. I firmly believe that you don’t have to tell people what they did wrong. Some people are so mean that they intentionally violate you. Just fall back and concentrate on your inner peace and happiness.
#10 CHANGE THE NARRATIVE BE HAPPY
Some people don’t want you to be happy. You’ve got to have the attitude, “If you don’t want to be happy, that’s fine. But you are not going to keep me away from being happy” Take the responsibility and be responsible for your own happiness. Don’t let other people’s unhappiness sour your happiness.
